Art trade with sakuya01 [link] who wanted Jehanine from Tanith Lee's wonderful Secret Books of Paradys Cycle. Her story can be found in "Malice in Saffron" from the Book of the Damned .

Just to clarify things: she is not trying to kill herself. The title of this pic should have been "give us today our daily bread" but that sounded too cheesy to be described, so there. What she's really doing is cutting off her hand to add some meat to the soup she's going to give her brother, who's contracted the plague (which is also why the windows are barred)...

Tanith Lee is so good.

Yay! Thankee. It's all yellow and stuff but it doesn't look ugly at all. Suki!

The word I first thought for this was austere, but then, she's a nun. Yay, nuns! And whoa, it's actually that scene!

Hmm... now that I think about it, I would have liked to draw that scene with Lucifer, too... myabe some other time?

Thanks on the yellow thing. I don't really much like yellow either. But it is Malice in Saffron, so I guess I couldn't help myself...
